Office of Admissions to Host Application Workshop
The Texas A&M University Office of Admissions will host an application
workshop entitled, "The Top 10 Ways to Increase Your Chances of Getting
Admitted," for future Aggies, former students, faculty and staff. The workshop
will be held prior to the Texas A&M/Baylor football game from 9:30-11:30 AM
on October 11, 2003 in Rudder Tower, Room 301. If you are interested in
learning more about the admissions process, filling out a thorough application,
and bettering your student's chances of being admitted, please attend this

Additional Game Day Parking Now Available!
Transportation Services has four parking facilities close to Kyle Field
reserved for game day parking and tailgating! These parking areas
are West Campus Garage, PA 61, PA 104, and PA 105. Please view the map at
http://transport.tamu.edu for specific location and directions.
Customers may pay by cash at all locations. The cost is $15 per game. Parking
is available on a first come, first served basis and cashiers will be available
at the entrances to the lots to collect payment.
For those customers who would rather leave the traffic and parking to
Transportation Services, free game day shuttles are available from Post Oak
Mall to campus. These express "Get to the Grid" shuttles leave Post Oak Mall
beginning 2 1/2 hours prior to game time and then transport passengers back to
the mall for 2 hours after the game ends. Please visit Transportation Services'

Don't Miss Rec Sports' Former Student Staff Reunion
On September 27, the Department of Recreational Sports is hosting the Annual
Former Student Staff Reunion. All former student staff, full time staff, and
volunteers of the department are invited to attend. For more information and to

the bottom right of the page. The Rec Center opens at 10:00 a.m. and lunch will
be served at 11:30a.m.
Judging Team to Reunion, Celebrate Centennial
A judging team reunion will kick off the Department of Animal Science's
centennial events Sept. 26-28. Former dairy, evaluation, horse, livestock,
meats and wool judging team members are invited to attend. Reunion registration
is $15 per adult, and children under 18 are free. Participants can register on

Computer Science to Host Picnic for Former Students
The Department of Computer Science in the Dwight Look College of Engineering
will hold its first CS Former Student Picnic on Friday, October 24, 2003. A
picnic lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the lawn next to
the Civil Engineering Building--across Ross Street from the H.R. Bright
Building. Tours of the computer science department will be available from 11:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The department invites all its former students to come by and enjoy a

Enter the "50 Years of Whoop!" Essay Contest
Two grand prize winners will receive prime parking for 2004 Aggie home football
games! If you're an Aggie who's at least 50 years old, you could be parking at
the Hagler Center (just south of Kyle Field) during next year's home football
games. All you have to do is write a winning essay on how turning 50 has
changed your life as an Aggie. Two contestants will receive the grand prize;
runners-up will receive foundation "50 Years of Whoop!" commemorative t-shirts.
The contest is sponsored by the Texas A&M Foundation, which turns 50 this

10000 Aggies Have Updated Their Information. Have You?
Many thanks to the more than 10000 former students who updated their information
with The Association in response to our email last week. The updates keep
coming in, and we've made some adjustments to the systems to ensure that you
can update your information without interruption. If you didn't get through the
first time, please try again so your information will be accurate and
up-to-date in the 125th Anniversary edition of the Directory of Former

Our goal is to receive 100,000 online updates! If you prefer to receive a

Tailgate with The Association
Join us for The Association Tailgate Parties for the 2003 football season! The
fun begins at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center three hours before

Bylaws Approved by Board of Directors
On August 5, 2003, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the bylaws
proposed by the Bylaws Task Committee for submission to the Council. The
Council will consider the proposed bylaws for adoption at its Fall meeting on

Classes celebrate their Formal Reunions every five years. While the Class of
'63 has already enjoyed their milestone this year, the Classes of '78, '83, '58,
'68, and '73 are scheduled to celebrate their Reunions later this fall.
