Donald Ray "Don" Green
January 8, 1938 - March 25, 2024
Donald Ray Green, beloved husband and father, went to his heavenly home on March 25, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on January 8, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas, he attended Diamond Hill Jarvis High School where he was active in sports earning the title of State Champion in high hurdles in 1955. He received a track scholarship to Texas A&M University, graduating in 1960 with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
In 1958, Don married the love of his life, Mona Kay. They enjoyed traveling and spending time at their lake house with family and friends.
Don was an avid bass fisherman catching a lake record bass on Lake Bob Sandlin. He also loved animals and they gravitated towards him.
Don worked for Stratoflex for 17 years and then helped start a new business, TexLoc, Inc., working as an engineer until he retired in 1996.
Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mona Kay Green, son Joel Green, daughter Jana Garrison and husband Greg, Grandchildren Katie Eaton and husband Chris, Becky Strommen and husband Derek, Lindsay Garrison, and Ben Garrison; and great grandchildren Jackson and Harper Eaton, and Aksel and Remi Strommen, sister Geraldine Davis, and brothers Jim Green and Terry Green.
Funeral Services to honor and remember Don will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Arlington Texas. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm, following the funeral service at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
