December 16, 1956 - March 4, 2024
Larry Clifford Whatley, 67, of Humble Texas, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Larry was born in Taylor, Texas on December 16, 1956 to Glen Wood Whatley and Patsy Marie Onstott. He graduated from Taylor High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University Class of ‘79. He married Celesta Nan Whatley on August 16, 1986; they were married for 37 years.
He worked as a Geo-Technical superintendent for Hayward Baker for many years. Larry was an avid hunter and loved watching his Aggies play football. There is nothing he loved more than sharing stories of his glory days and his big hunts.
Larry is survived by his wife Celesta; daughter, Meaghan King and son in law Kevin King; daughter, Coree Whatley; son, Colton Whatley and daughter in law Lindsey Whatley; sister, Kellie Fenter and Brother in law Mark Fenter; sister in law, Judy Whatley; grandchildren, Boston King, Raeleigh King and Hendrix Seifert; and nieces and nephews, Julie Patrick, Jennifer Prinz, Laura Whatley, Ridge Heiner, and Zac Fenter.
Larry is preceded in death by his Father, Glen Whatley Sr.; Mother, Patsy Whatley; brothers, Glen Whatley, Jr. and Thomas Whatley; and nephew, Keith Whatley.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday March 9, 2024 at 10 am at Taylor City Cemetery.
