Jerry Scott Hlozek

March 6, 1978 - April 24, 2024

Jerry Scott Hlozek, cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved friend, departed from this world on April 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. At the age of 46, Jerry’s journey on earth ended far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication.

Born on March 6, 1978, Jerry was raised in Spring, TX, where he attended Klein Oak High School. He was known for his infectious laughter, his kind heart, and his steadfast loyalty to his friends and family. After graduating from high school, Jerry pursued higher education at Texas A&M University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

After completing his college education, Jerry embarked on his professional journey as a Civil Engineer, a path that ultimately led him to discover his true passion in Land Development with Caldwell Companies. Immersing himself in this field, Jerry found fulfillment in every project he undertook, approaching each task with care and integrity. His exceptional work ethic not only garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients but also contributed to the growth and success of the projects he was involved in. Yet, Jerry's greatest purpose in life was always reserved for his beloved family, where his love and commitment shone brightly, defining him as both a devoted professional and a cherished family man.

Jerry's greatest joy in life was his role as a father to his three beautiful daughters, Hannah, Reese, and Charlotte. He cherished every moment spent with them, from bedtime stories to long weekends at the soccer fields. Despite his own battles, Jerry’s love for his children never wavered, and he instilled in them a sense of courage and resilience that will endure for generations to come.

In addition to being a devoted father, Jerry was a loving husband, a loyal friend, and a pillar of strength for his family. Throughout his battle with cancer, he faced each day with remarkable bravery and grace, inspiring all who knew him with his unwavering determination to never give up hope.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shelley, his adoring children, Hannah, Reese, and Charlotte, his devoted parents, Mike & Kris Hlozek, John Jones and his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Jones; his sister, Katy Jones; his Aunt Carolyn Hlozek, and his grandparents. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled but also a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 1:00 PM on May 10, 2024 at Church Project, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the joy and laughter he brought into their lives.
