Amy Jo (Park) Kennedy

May 20, 1966 - February 9, 2024

Amy Jo Kennedy, our beautiful wife, best mom, greatest supporter, and loving Nana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday February 9th, 2024.

Amy was born May 20th, 1966, to Pat and Bill Park in Canyon, TX. She is preceded in death by her older sister, Laura Park and parents Pat and Bill. Amy leaves behind her loving husband Brian, and children Emily (husband Titus), Samantha, and Zachary, and granddaughter Hannah May of oldest daughter Emily. Amy also leaves behind her siblings David (wife Pam) Park and Sarah (wife Vicky) Pearse. Amy is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews including: Sarah’s children Nikki, Joee, and Lauren; David’s children, Blake and Audra.

Amy and Brian celebrated their wedding on January 6th, 1990, before Amy graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Gig ‘em Aggies! Amy worked for several different defense contractors at Tinker Air Force Base. Amy was blessed to stay home with her youngest children for over a decade before returning to work as a middle school science teacher at Webster Middle School in Oklahoma City where she will be deeply missed.

Amy never met a person she didn’t get along with. We have so many stories of the little things she did to make everyone feel loved and welcome. She was a second mom to all her children’s friends and made them all feel special. As much love as she shared outside the family, her own family was the greatest benefactor of all she had to give. She consistently put family before herself. Amy made sure her children had everything they needed. When her children were younger, they would frequently find her asleep in their bedroom with a book still in hand that she had been reading to them. During the pandemic, Amy spent a month in Georgia caring for her first grandbaby, Hannah, while Emily had to return to work. Amy was more than a wife, she was her husband's best friend, greatest cheerleader, and closest confidant. Amy and Brian made it a point to never go to bed mad at each other and to always say “I love you” whenever someone left the house. Their unconditional love has deeply impacted and inspired their children and will live on in all their lives.

Sweetest mommy and precious wife, our best friend, you can rest in peace knowing you are loved and missed deeply by your friends and family. We love you to the moon and back and will see you in Heaven one day.

A service to remember and celebrate Amy's life will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 2:00PM at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond, OK. Visitation will be held with the family the evening prior, Monday, February 12, 2024, from 6:00PM-8:00PM, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond following services.
