Guy Hayden Andrews 

December 28, 1933 - February 3, 2024 

Guy Andrews peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior the morning of February 3, 2024. Guy Hayden Andrews was born December 29, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to Ralph Andrews and Fredrika Haizlip Andrews.

Guy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1952 and then went to work in the oil fields in Montana for the summer. In the fall of 1952 Guy went to Texas A&M University and took a double major in Petroleum and Geological Engineering. Guy had some financial problems and had to leave A&M. He then joined the Naval Aviation Cadets to be a pilot. Guy, unfortunately, blacked out during his orientation flight and had to leave the Navy. He took a job as an engineering clerk and began saving money. He got his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in June, 1959. He joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton as a Petroleum Engineer in 1965 and became responsible for computer applications. Guy retired from DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 1999. During his tenure at DeGolyer and MacNaughton, Guy met and married Barbara Jean Westerfield.

Guy and Bobbie were long time members of Highland Oaks Church of Christ. They were both very involved with the Wellspring Ministry.

Guy was an avid and competitive tennis player. He loved spending time with his grandkids. He would play girly things with his grandaughter, Mallory, and take his grandson, Conner, to bike and fish.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrika and Ralph Andrews; his wife, Bobbie Andrews; his sister, Margret Harrison; and his step-son, Russell Westerfield.

Guy is survived by his stepdaughter, Jenny Cromeens and husband Steve; grandson, Conner Cromeens; granddaughter, Mallory Allcorn and husband Bill; great grandchildren, Ford Allcorn, Millie Allcorn, and Josie Allcorn, and Byrdie Cromeens.
