William F. "Bill" Mariutto 

May 7, 1937 - June 25, 2023 

William “Bill” Mariutto of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the age of 86. He was born on May 7, 1937, in Bronx, NY.

Bill graduated from Mount St. Michael’s Catholic School in 1955, and was awarded the first “Brother Timothy Daniel Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Athlete” in 1955. He married Joan Mariutto on September 5, 1959. During their 63-year marriage, he would earn two Master’s and a Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical, Industrial, and Civil Engineering, that resulted in the couple living in 9 states during their marriage. In 1983, United Technologies awarded Bill with a “Special Award for Extraordinary Management Effectiveness” for the Quality Assurance program he developed at the Optics and Applied Technologies Laboratory. Bill retired in 1990, and was actively involved in the Wellington Senior’s Club, as well as starting and playing in the Okeeheelee Park Senior Softball League.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Ferrucio Mariutto, his brother, Fred Mariutto, and his wife, Joan Mariutto.

He is survived by children Tammy and Robin, granddaughter, Alanna Willetts, sister-in-law, Diana, and nephews Craig and Tom.
