Alison (King) Froneberger 

January 7, 1967 - May 1, 2024 

Alison King Froneberger passed away May 1st, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer.

Alison was full of joy, laughter and love. Just talking with Alison would brighten our lives. She never failed to bring giggles into the conversation and was always full of enthusiasm for life. Alison enjoyed art and writing. She also loved to spend time with her sons.

She graduated from Vanguard College Preparatory School in 1985. She earned her Bachelors of Education from Texas A&M University in 1990 and a Masters of Science in Computer Education from North Texas University in 1993.

She taught in multiple school districts including Port Arthur ISD, Jacksonville ISD and China Spring ISD. She also worked for a few years at Region 8 Educational Service Center in North East Texas. Alison married J. Douglas Froneberger July 26, 1996 and made their first home as a family in Sulphur Springs Texas. In May of 1999, Alison and Doug traveled to Russia to adopt two young boys, Alexander and Michael, who brought more love and happiness to their world.

Alison lived and struggled through breast cancer for nearly 15 years. She rarely complained about the pain and fought with fierce strength to be with her family as long as possible. She was loved and will be in our hearts forever.

Alison was preceded in death by her husband J. Douglas Froneberger. She is survived by her sons: Alexander and Michael Froneberger, her parents: Dr. Ronald and LaJuan King, her sister, Shannon Field, multiple nieces and nephews and many close friends.

A memorial service to honor Alison is planned for Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Parkview Baptist Church, 1100 Lake Shore Drive, Waco, Texas 76708.
