Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Brooks, children, Hanna and William Brooks, brother and brother's family, James Robert, Angie, and Michael Brooks, and his uncle Jerry Max Brooks.

Wyatt was a great provider and family man. He practiced law for 38 years. He was a critical thinker, detailed, intuitive, and a caring person. He was cum laude in his bachelor's program at Texas A&M University, and magna cum laude in his J.D. Doctor of Jurisprudence program at Texas Tech University. He received the William Bohlinger Award. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1986 as well as the US District Court and the 5th circuit, and was certified in the civil trial law section in 1997.

Wyatt was a voracious reader in a variety of topics, and especially enjoyed history and computer games. He was supportive and kind, and appreciated nature. He was an excellent husband, father, brother, nephew, colleague, and friend. His accomplishments in the legal profession are too great to list. Knowing Wyatt was to be made to think more sharply and care more deeply, and he will be greatly missed.
