Carl Edwin Carter 

March 20, 1955 - December 18, 2023 

Carl Edwin Carter of Austin, Texas, passed away on December 18, 2023, due to Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Carl was born in the old Luling hospital on March 20, 1955. He graduated from Luling High School in 1973, and went on to graduate from Texas A&M University in 1977.

Carl is survived by his brother John Carter and wife Susie, brother Rick Carter and wife Pam, many nieces and nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack & Wanda Carter of Luling. His grandparents were M. H. and Mary Carter and Ben and Nora Bassett.

Carl was a partner in Carter & Company Insurance Agency with his brother John for many years, before selling the business to Texas Trusted Insurance. He thoroughly enjoyed visiting and helping his clients over those years. Carl continued to enjoy several hobbies such as gardening, collecting watercolor paintings, paper weights and traveling. As per Carl's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
