Jay Allen Faulkner 

October 10, 1972 - December 18, 2023 

Jay Allen Faulkner, a beloved husband, father, and accomplished professional, departed from this world on December 18, 2023. Born on October 10, 1972, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Dwight Faulkner and Carol Diana Hehmeyer.

On September 26, 2009, Jay married the love of his life, Heather Faulkner, in Allen, Texas. His commitment to family was unwavering, evident in the joyous moments shared with his children, whom he adored beyond measure.

Education was a cornerstone of Jay's life, culminating in his graduation from Texas A&M University with a master's degree in 2007. His professional endeavors were as diverse as they were impressive. Jay contributed his talents as a developer at Pixar, working on the iconic "Monsters Inc." for 2 ½ years. His passion for innovation led him to a fulfilling 3-year tenure at NASA, where his contributions left an indelible mark. Throughout his career, Jay lent his expertise to companies like CGG and Jason for another 10 years.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jay was a man of varied passions. His artistic flair manifested through his love for drawing, complemented by his musical talents on his banjo and guitar. When he was young, Jay found solace and exhilaration in flying planes, a passion that brought him immeasurable joy. A devoted father, he relished playing video games with his son and engaging in playful moments with his daughter.

Jay Allen Faulkner will forever be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and multifaceted talents. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Faulkner; son, Aaron Faulkner; daughter, Jaylyn Faulkner; brother, Steve Faulkner and wife, Dawn of Olathe, Kansas; parents, Dwight and Carol Faulkner of Magnolia, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Bobette and Earl Nichols of Alexandra, Louisiana; niece, Jenna Faulkner; nephew, Brice Faulkner; brother in law, Trey Kennedy and wife, Amanda of Frisco, Texas; niece, Camryn Kennedy and nephew, Carson Kennedy.

Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manuel and Opal Faulkner; grandparents Charles and Arlene Heymeyer, father-in-law, Rick Kennedy; and grandmother-in-law, Verda Coston.

A Mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1914 Ridgeview Drive, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the same location.
