August 5, 1962 - December 13, 2023 

Jose Telesforo Trevino, affectionately known as Joe to his friends and family, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 61 in Austin, Texas. Born on August 5, 1962, in Raymondville, Texas, Joe was a man of intelligence, humor, and kindness, whose presence brought light and laughter to all who knew him.

Joe's early life in Raymondville laid the foundation for a man who was as generous as he was hardworking. His academic prowess led him to Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, a testament to his dedication and love for learning. Joe's educational achievements were just the beginning of a life filled with professional success.

As a Systems Analyst for the IRS in Austin, Joe's sharp mind and attention to detail made him a respected figure in his field. His colleagues remember him not only for his professional expertise but also for his willingness to lend a helping hand and his ever-present warm smile.

Beyond his professional life, Joe was a man of many passions. He loved fishing and hunting. His love for gardening was evident, it was a visible representation of the care he put into every living thing.

Joe's family was the cornerstone of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Ofelia Trevino. He is survived by his loving relatives, his sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Oscar Leal, his brother John Trevino, his stepson, Sterling Rios, and his nephew and niece, Nicholas and Anica Leal. Each family member carries cherished memories of Joe's boundless love, support, and the wisdom he generously shared.

Joe's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the profound impact he left on the hearts of those he touched. He will be remembered as a beacon of light, a source of strength, and a man who lived his life with unwavering integrity and joy.

As we say goodbye to Joe, we celebrate the life of a man who was not only accomplished in his career but also rich in the relationships he nurtured. His departure leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Jose Telesforo Trevino's journey on this earth was a blessing to all, and his memory will be treasured forever.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca, TX.
