Bryan Ralph

December 13, 1937 - May 21, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bryan Ralph, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Born on December 13, 1937, in Tyler, Texas, his parents, Johnny and Ruth Ralph, instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and a deep sense of community. At the young age of 9, Bryan took on a paper route, demonstrating his industrious nature early on. This job not only taught him the importance of responsibility and perseverance but also helped him save money for his future education.

Bryan's dedication and hard work paid off when he attended Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. He was an enthusiastic Aggie, and he cherished the friendships and experiences he gained during his time there. Texas A&M's values of loyalty, respect, and excellence resonated with him throughout his life.

After graduating, Bryan embarked on a successful career as an architect. He was passionate about designing spaces that were not only functional but also beautiful and inspiring. His creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainability were evident in every project he undertook. Bryan's work can be seen in numerous buildings and businesses across Texas, each a testament to his vision and skill. His colleagues and clients admired him not only for his professional expertise but also for his integrity and the genuine care he showed for their needs and dreams.

Upon his graduation, he worked for numerous architectural firms in the Texas area, eventually owned his own architectural firm, was an Associate Design Engineer with E-Systems of Greenville, and would also begin teaching classes, and later fencing, at Tyler Junior College. He would later become the head of the drafting department at Southern Oklahoma Vo-Tech in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and then go on to retire in his 60's from Southern Oklahoma Vo-Tech, where he would move to Hideaway, Texas and go on to finish his career at Estes Mcclure & Associates.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bryan was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sandra Ralph. Married in 1964, they shared a beautiful partnership that lasted over 60 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Sandra was his constant support, and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Bryan was also a loving father to his two daughters, Susan Clifton and Sabryna Noltie. He balanced his career with raising his family, always ensuring that his daughters felt loved and supported. Bryan was known for his vast knowledge, his strength in his faith, his quick wit and joking personality, and his ability to offer wise counsel. He was their biggest cheerleader and an unwavering pillar of strength.

As a grandfather, Bryan's joy only grew. Bryan had 3 grandchildren, Dillon Clifton, Will Noltie, Carson Clifton and two great-grandchildren Wyatt Clifton and Levi Clifton. He delighted in their accomplishments, big and small, and was always ready with a story, a hug, or a piece of knowledge. Bryan loved his family, but made it known to never leave your plate unattended around him.

Bryan had a deep love for Scotland, and was captivated by its rich history, stunning landscapes, and the warmth of its people. He was the president of the Tyler Backpacker's Association, and in his leisure time, he loved fencing, hiking, hunting, teaching, reading, whiskey sours, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones.

Bryan Ralph leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra; his daughters, Susan Clifton (and her husband Kent) and Sabryna Noltie (and her husband Fred); his grandchildren, Will Noltie, Dillon Clifton, and Carson Clifton; and countless friends and former colleagues who were touched by his kindness.

While we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we also celebrate a life well-lived. Bryan's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with his parents and all those who have gone before him.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindale, Texas on May 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

Bryan (Bryn) Ralph will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
