Dale Bolton Hudson, born on August 30, 1941, in Wharton, Texas, passed away on May 6, 2024, in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was the beloved son of Ford and Ruth Ann Dale Hudson. Dale was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ford and Ruth Ann Dale Hudson.

Dale is survived by his devoted spouse, Elaine Cheek Hudson, whom he married on September 3, 1965, in McColl, South Carolina. Their journey together spanned fifty-eight remarkable years filled with shared love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is also survived by his daughter, Ann Margaret Hudson, who will forever hold his legacy close to her heart.

Dale is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim Hudson and Randi Hudson, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Edna Stock and Edna Cheek. He leaves many nephews and nieces, who will carry on his memory through the generations.

Significant milestones and achievements marked Dale's life. He graduated from El Campo High School in El Campo, Texas, and furthered his education at Wharton County Junior College and Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Business Administration in 1970. Following high school, Dale bravely served in the U.S. Army, belonging to the 82nd Airborne and participating in Operation Power Pack in the Dominican Republic.

Throughout his professional career, Dale was not just a dedicated employee at BASF, formerly Dow Badische, but also a loving family man and a pillar of his community. He joined the company in February 1970 and retired in June 1995. Beyond his work life, Dale was deeply involved in his community and faith. He was a devoted member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Sweeny, Texas, for over three decades, contributing his time and skills to various church activities and outreach programs.

When not immersed in his work or church responsibilities, Dale was a man of many passions. He had an insatiable thirst for adventure, embarking on thrilling journeys across the United States and Canada with his family and friends. In his leisure time, he could be found in his workshop, engrossed in his mechanical projects. A dedicated supporter of the Texas Aggies, Dale relished watching Aggie sports games with his wife, from football to basketball, baseball, and softball. His final day was spent indulging in his love for Texas Aggie baseball, a fitting culmination of his devotion to the team.

Dale was characterized by his adventurous spirit, mechanical prowess, unique sense of style, and generous nature. He delighted in exploring new horizons and sharing his expertise in fixing things with others. His wardrobe choices never failed to surprise, reflecting his vibrant personality. Additionally, he believed in giving back to both individuals and charitable causes.

In honor of Dale's memory, instead of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice, such as local food banks, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, cancer charities, hospices, or initiatives supporting school lunch programs. Dale will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched, but his legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will endure forever in those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing that his spirit lives on in the lives he enriched.
