Roll Call Tribute

Lisa Wilhite '90 July 1, 2024 4:11 PM updated: July 1, 2024 4:23 PM

Lisa Ann Wilhite

November 5, 1967 - June 9, 2024

Lisa Wilhite lost her battle with cancer and entered her eternal Heavenly home on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Through all the physical pain Lisa endured, her attitude never wavered from grace and acceptance. During this difficult trial, Lisa felt the Lord drawing her closer to Him. Her faith in Jesus Christ and their relationship was strengthened. Lisa believed that being the mother of her two children was her most important life role. She also loved being motherly to all the children she knew. Lisa considered her Baptism, her marriage, and the birth of her children as true blessings from God and the highlights of her life.

Lisa Ann Richard Wilhite was born November 5, 1967, in Greenville, MS, to Carolyn Sherman Richard (Labella) and Patrick Louis Richard. She married Mark Wilhite on August 5, 1989, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, in the same church where she was Baptized a few years earlier.

Lisa graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, in December 1990 with an accounting degree. During her professional career, Lisa held accounting positions with several companies across Texas, and she cherished her time working with the Hainsworth Family Businesses.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Mark Wilhite of Bowling Green, KY, and her son, Samuel Wilhite and daughter Hannah Noblett, and her husband, Nathan Knoblett. Lisa is also survived by her sister, Patricia (Trish) Kuhl, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death, along with her brother, Wilton Joseph Richard, II.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at J.C. Kirby Funeral Home, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with the Celebration Service beginning at 11.

Lisa’s hope was always for the spiritual growth of children and youth. Therefore, the family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Camp Blue Haven – a Christian youth camp: Camp Blue Haven Foundation, PO Box 417, Marble Falls, TX 78654. Or www.campbluehaven.com
