Kimberly A. (Brooks) Zimmer 

November 13, 1984 - May 24, 2024 

Kimberly Brooks Zimmer, age 39, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was a beloved military spouse, parent, daughter, sibling, and friend.

Kimberly was born to LTC (Ret) Walter W. Brooks and Rusana A. Brooks, November 13, 1984, at Fort Sam Houston, TX. She graduated from Texas Military Institute (TMI) in 2003 and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University – College Station in 2007. She was a student at St. Edward’s University pursuing her Masters in Counseling. She married Christopher J. Zimmer, Jr. in 2008, and they lived together in Austin, TX.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Christopher; her children, Ethan and Wyatt; and her mother Rusana. She was preceded in death by her father LTC (Ret) Walter W. Brooks.

Kimberly dedicated her life to the service of others. Kimberly was a beautiful soul who loved unconditionally and always put others first. Her deep love for all animals reflected her compassionate and nurturing nature. A dedicated Tae Kwon Do master, Kimberly combined her spiritual strength with physical discipline. Her presence brought light and warmth to everyone she met.

A visitation for Kimberly will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Pius X Parish, 3919 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 3919 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. A committal service will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
