Keith was born October 28, 1965, in Grand Saline, Texas. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1984 and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Systems Management. He was the loving husband to Amanda “Mandy” Roppolo Smith for 24 years and devoted son to Jack and Glenda Smith.

Keith began a 30-year career in sales and purchasing in the lumber and packaging industry with Conner Industries in 1995. Keith’s keen sense of numbers and ability to quickly develop trust with suppliers, customers and co-workers allowed him to excel in the business quickly. His honesty and playful sense of humor were balanced perfectly and helped him develop long-lasting friendships and success in business. In 2015, he joined Greentree Packaging and was an important part of its successful growth. He appreciated the “handshake” aspect of business relationships in the lumber industry and genuinely loved his work.

His primary joy was spending time with Mandy and both sides of his family, usually with his cooking as a principal component of the gatherings. He loved sharing his recipes and tending his garden. Keith was proud of his many varieties of peppers, and he used them frequently in his salsa. He perfected this salsa such that family members placed orders for Aggie’s Salsa. His nephews, nieces, and many friends referred to him as “Aggie.”

Hunting, fishing and the Texas Rangers were Keith’s first pastimes. Later in life, time spent outdoors and at the family farm provided him much happiness. He respected nature and wildlife as God’s creation and enjoyed as much time as he could there; although, these activities were mostly a way to connect with his friends and family. Keith was also proud of his service as Usher and contributing parishioner to St. Anne’s Church and community. His devotion to prayer, Bible study and Faith in Christ was central to who he was.

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Eva Smith and Lloyd and Allie Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda; parents, Jack and Glenda Smith; sister, Michelle Shannon and husband, Wally; aunt, Elaine Jennings; cousin, Scott Rowe and wife, Kerri; cousins, Connor Rowe and Carli Rowe; father-in-law, Joe Roppolo and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Gina Pasisis and husband, Tom; brother-in-law, Nick Roppolo and wife, Sunni; nephew, Tommy Pasisis and wife, Brittany; niece, Caroline Young and husband, Jeff; nephew and Godson, Jacob Roppolo; nephew and Godson, Joe Roppolo; nephew and Godson, Grady Shannon; great nephew, Carter Pasisis; and numerous others.
