Robert F. "Bob" Brown 

July 18, 1932 - June 29, 2024 

Robert Franklin Brown (Bob), age 91, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024 in Longview, Texas. He was born July 18, 1932 to Lesley and Mildred Brown. He was a resident of Longview and a graduate of North Dallas High School.

He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Bob served in Korea as a first Lieutenant army engineer. He married Lessie DeSpain Elliott on October 16, 2015, in Longview. Bob was a long time rancher and raised registered red Brangus cattle. He loved eating good food, working outside, speculating in real estate, bonds, and other investments.

He is survived by his wife Lessie; three daughters, Martha Blankenship, Sherry Lunstedt and husband Glenn and Sharon Shaw and husband Kerry. Bob is also survived by grandchildren Todd and Craig Blankenship, Grant Lunstedt, Amber Hyland, Audrey McGraw, David and Lacey Quinn and Jordan and Dillon Eudy. There are several great grandchildren and two deceased wives, Marcella and Betty Brown. Family, friends, and others are invited to the Funeral Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Rosewood Park, 1944 FM 1844, Longview at 10am to honor the life of Bob Brown.

In lieu of flowers, Bob asked for donations to Alzheimer’s research.
