Terry Lynn Adcock 

October 31, 1955 - July 13, 2024 

Terry Lynn Adcock, 68, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his home in Baytown, TX. Terry was born October 31, 1955 to Aubrey Merl and Joy Adcock in Baytown, TX. Terry graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1974, Lee College in 1977, and Texas A&M University in 1979 with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

Terry retired from Union Carbide in 2002 and went on to work at Chevron Phillips until 2011 when he experienced a near fatal aortic dissection that forced him into medical retirement.

Terry is best known for his playful sense of humor, generosity, and love for the Fightin’ Texas Aggies. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and anything that involved his family. He was an active board member for the Baytown Nature Center, as well as a docent at the Baytown Historical Museum.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Merl Adcock; father-in-law, Robert Gorrell; sister-in-law, Carla Adcock; and nephew, Joshua Roberts. He is survived by his mother, Joy Adcock Greenawalt; wife of 41 years, Sandra Gorrell Adcock; daughters, Kasi Bevel (Ryan) and Amy Conner (Bubba); and grandchildren, Cody, Kollyn and Austin Bevel and Noah Conner. He is also survived by his brother Ronnie Adcock; sisters Sherrill Santana (Gilbert) and Kay Perez; step mother-in-law, Joyce Gorrell; and sisters-in-law Sherry Bell (Roger), Tammy Roberts and Michele Northrup (Shawn) as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or plant a tree where you and others can enjoy the shade. “We all should plant trees whose shade we may never get to enjoy.”

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am, Friday, July 19, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521, with the memorial service to follow at 11 am.
