Russell Wendell Richardson, Sr. 

May 11, 1970 - July 8, 2024 

Russell Richardson, Houston Police Department information security officer, tragically lost his life in the floodwaters of Hurricane Beryl while reporting for work on July 8, 2024. 

A selfless Aggie leader as always, Russell passed in the line of service and duty to the City of Houston and Houston Police Department. 

Russell leaves his spirit of life to his loving wife, Tatjana Richardson, son Russell Richardson, Jr., age 27; son Marcus Richardson, age 25; daughter Nia Richardson, age 21; son Anthony Richardson, age 19, and daughter Jazmin Williams, age 27. Surviving siblings include Paul J. Smith, David Arnold Richardson, Joey Carl Richardson, Sharlotte Annette Richardson, and Michael Everett Richardson and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives both near and far.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esther Isabel Daniel Richardson and Anderson Richardson. As well as his brother Ernest James Richardson and Brenda Kay Richardson.
