Gregory Charles "Greg" Weiss
July 9, 1951 - July 13, 2024
Gregory Charles Weiss, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 13th, 2024. He was born July 9th, 1951 in Brenham, Texas to Louis Walter Weiss and Inez Virginia Krauss Weiss. He married his beautiful bride Teresa (Teri) Ann Tardiff in Kingwood, Texas on August 4th, 1984.
Greg was baptized in Giddings, Texas at Immanuel Lutheran Church and was confirmed in Rockdale, Texas at Grace Lutheran Church. He was raised in Rockdale, Texas and graduated from Rockdale High School in 1969. Greg graduated from Texas A&M University in 1973 with a degree in Architecture. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he started practicing architecture. In 1994, he founded SBWV Architects along with his three partners. They specialized in the planning and design of educational facilities throughout the greater Houston area. In 2016, Greg retired, and he and Teri moved to Brenham, Texas and built their dream home in 2020.
Greg loved his boys and loved his wife even more. He cherished his whole family and always put their needs above his own. Greg was always there to lend a helping hand no matter what. One of Greg’s greatest joys was being at the ball field watching Eric and Cory play baseball, all the way from tee ball to minor league baseball. Late in life Greg just enjoyed the simplicity of being with his family and especially becoming a grandfather or as Parker called him Poppy.
Greg is preceded in death by his father Louis W. Weiss. Surviving to continue his amazing legacy is his wife, of almost 40 years, Teri Weiss, sons Eric Weiss and wife Danielle, Cory Weiss and wife Brittany, mother Inez Weiss, sister Virginia (Gin) Bassett and husband Randy, granddaughter Parker Weiss, three nieces & their families, aunts and numerous cousins.
