Roll Call Tribute

Roberta L. Hursey 

January 14, 1939 - July 12, 2024 

Surrounded by family, Roberta (Robyn) Hursey passed away peacefully the evening of Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 85 years.

She will be adoringly remembered by her daughters, Alexandrea, Barbara (Douglas), and Cathrine (Stewart); grandchildren, Callum, Lara, Hannah, Isaac, and Jocelyn; and many dear friends.

Roberta was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Allan, and parents, Helen Rebecca Tweedy (nee: Noll) and James Robert Tweedy of Apache Junction, Arizona.

Roberta met Robert when they were both attending Phoenix College as undergraduates, and they married June 10, 1959, living happily ever after until Robert’s passing on January 7, 2018. An artist, writer, teacher and museum administrator/consultant, Roberta graduated from Texas A&M University in 1966 with a master’s degree in English and enjoyed a long career, touching many lives along the way with her patience, kindness, creativity, and intellectual acuity.

In accordance with Roberta’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Northern Lights Cemetery, St. Albert. Any memorial donations in Roberta’s name may be made to your favorite museum. Arrangements Entrusted to Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home.
