November 18, 1951 - July 3, 2024

Robert Fredrick Boehler of Benbrook, Texas passed to his eternal rest July 3, 2024 with his wife and daughter at his bedside.

He was born in El Paso, Texas November 18, 1951 to a large loving family as one of the eight children of Dr. and Mrs. Conrad and Helen Boehler. He was an excellent student athlete at Jesuit High school and went on to play college basketball for New Mexico Military Institute. He eventually received his B.A. in Chemistry with minors in Psychology and Biomedical sciences from the University of North Texas. He worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for many years until deciding to return to school and get his Masters in Education from Texas A&M University. This transition would become his greatest professional joy. He taught at Castleberry and Summit High schools but ultimately found his home at Aledo High School as the Astronomy, Pre AP Chemistry, Pre AP physics, Anatomy and Physiology teacher from 2004-2019. He was also the coach for the Varsity Boys and Girls Swim team with much success. He loved his students and was intensely proud of their achievements.

He survived by his siblings Bonnie Owens, Arifa Boehler, Kathryn Cooper, Richard Boehler; his daughter Lillian Boehler, her husband Daniel Gravley; grandchildren Nicholas, Roman, and Elise Gravley. He is also survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Cynthia Boehler; her children Micheal and Tracy Zozaya, Jeff and Karen Zozaya; grandchildren Jillian, Jenna, Josh and Kimberly Zozaya, Erin and Micheal Grobe; great grandchildren Lucas and Madeline Grobe.

He was a tall, gregarious and charming man who loved a good party and ordered too many lemons with his water at restaurants. He is greatly missed.

His Memorial service is August 17, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens Lecture Link 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76107 with reception to follow.
