Charles R. "Pete" Robertson, Jr.

March 25, 1965 - August 2, 2024

Charles R. (Pete) Robertson, Jr., 59, of Deer Park, Texas passed away on August 2, 2024. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on March 25, 1965, to Charles (Pete), Sr. and Ava Robertson.

Growing up in La Porte, Texas, Pete was a member of La Porte Community Church, attending Sunday School and VBS as a child, singing in the Youth Choir and playing guitar for special events at Christmas and Father’s Day. It was a special time that he truly enjoyed. Pete was a 1983 graduate of La Porte High School and a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 1991. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. He had a green thumb and a love of plants, always working hard to make sure his mom had a beautiful yard. He helped open and operate Robertson’s Nursery for over 30 years. Pete loved any and all animals, from stray cats and dogs, to his many horses. They seemed to find a home with him all the time. He took good care of his mom and dad when they needed him, always striving to make sure his mom had everything she needed. Pete loved playing guitar and could pick with the best of them, from classic rock to good ole country music. He loved his family and was well-loved by anyone who knew him.

Pete was preceded in death by his father, Pete Sr., and his sister Caryn Robertson Guest. He is survived by his mother, Ava; sisters Deanna Biggers (Steve), Janice Teague (Stan) and Kimberly Turner (Greg) and his brother-in-law, Todd Guest (Rebecca); nephews and nieces, Kyle Guest (Jessica), Laura Biggers Hertel (Tyler), Linsay Biggers Brace (Marc), Courtney Guest (Bryan Carter), Jason Guest, Claire Teague, Matalyn Teague, Cole Turner, and Brady Turner; as well as his precious great-nephews and nieces, Rhody, Reid, & Rhett Hertel, Benjamin & Samuel Guest, and Waylan Brace.

A visitation for Pete will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at La Porte Community Church, 202 South 1st Street, La Porte, TX 77571. A funeral service, officiated by Reverend Brian Christen of La Porte Community Church, will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 202 South 1st Street, La Porte, TX 77571.
