Kim Leigh (Reed) Rogerson 

March 15, 1957 - October 20, 2023 

Kim Reed Rogerson, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away October 20, 2023, in Allen, Texas due to complications from a long battle with Alzheimer's and frontotemporal dementia, at the age of 66. 

Kim was born March 15, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Jerry Reed and Shirley Lemaire Reed; both were natives of Louisiana. Kim's mother passed away on February 9, 2016 after a 16 year battle with Alzheimer's. Her father passed away after an illness just 3 months ago, on August 8, 2023. 

Kim is survived by her husband of over 43 years, Bob Rogerson '80, their two children, Kelli (Rogerson) Puterbaugh, and Kyle Rogerson, and five grandchildren with a sixth on the way. Kim was the oldest of three children. She is survived by her sister, Lori Alexander of The Woodlands, Texas, who is 4 years younger, and by her brother, Mike Reed of Port Neches, Texas, who is 8 years younger. 

Kim graduated from Port Neches High School in 1975. She worked to raise money for college and attended Lamar University in Beaumont for one year before transferring to her dream school, Texas A&M University. Kim graduated in May of 1979 with Magna Cum Laude honors and a perfect 4.0 grade point average in her major. Her degree was in Education Curriculum and Instruction. Kim and Bob were married on May 31, 1980, in Nederland, Texas.
