Renee’ (Brisbois) Bures 

September 17, 1961 - August 27, 2024 

Renee’ went to be with her Lord on August 27, 2024 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on September 17, 1961, the second identical twin to Millard and Lucille Callaway Brisbois.

She attended Ganado ISD and graduated in 1980. She then attended Wharton County Junior College and graduated in 1982 with an Associate of Arts degree. She then went to Texas A&M University in College Station and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies. She began her teaching career in 1985 at Blessing Elementary and then went to Ganado Elementary where she retired in May 2014 after 29 years in Education.

She married the love of her life, David Bures, on December 21,1985. They added two wonderful children to their life. Son, David Lee Jr. and wife Amanda Popp Bures and their two children, Bradley and Carlee, all of Ganado. Daughter, Stefanie and Glen Hutchison, and their two children, Aubree and Callaway, all of Ganado.

Renee’ is also survived by her parents Millard and Lucille Brisbois, identical twin sister Rhonda Garner, sister Cindy and Mark Hlavaty, all of Ganado. Sister-in-laws Sandra Martin of Brownwood, Cathy and Rory Hafernick of Bay City, Mary and Craig Stavinoha of East Bernard, and Cynthia Bures of Ganado. Brothers-in-law Dennis and Cindy Bures and Gerald and Kelly Bures, all of Ganado. She is survived by many loving nephews and nieces. Renee’ loved her family and you could find her where her grandchildren were.

There will be a visitation on Saturday September 7, 2024, from 9:00am-10:30am at the First Methodist Church in Ganado, Texas. A celebration of life service will begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Edna Cemetery at 2:00pm.
