Kenneth "Ken" Rizzuto, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 56. Born in Buffalo, New York, Ken and his family moved to Houston, Texas in 1977 where he met his high school sweetheart and wife, Lindsay, at the bus stop. His career brought him and his family to San Antonio in 2002 and then back to Houston in 2016. Ken's life was defined by a deep love for his family, a distinguished professional career, and a keen sense of humor.
Ken was a proud alumnus of Texas A&M University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with honors. Following his graduation, Ken embarked on a successful career as an executive at both Hewlett-Packard (HP) and iHeart Radio. Throughout his career, Ken was known for his dedication, integrity, and sharp analytical mind. He was a trusted colleague and a mentor to many, always willing to share his knowledge and support others in their professional journeys. Ken participated in many organizations within the risk management/insurance industry, including the South Texas Chapter of RIMS (Risk Insurance Management Society), where he served as President. He was often a keynote speaker at industry specific conferences and thoroughly enjoyed getting to travel for these events.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Lindsay Rizzuto, his steadfast partner in life for over 35 years. Together, they built a beautiful family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ken was the proud father of two children, Morgan Haley and Jeffrey Rizzuto, who brought immense joy and pride into his life. His role as a Papa to his grandchildren, Emersyn and Kason, was one of his greatest joys and he delighted in every moment spent with them.
Ken's mother, Lana Rizzuto, and his siblings, Mike Rizzuto and Deborah Harshaw, remember him as a caring and supportive son and brother. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family were evident in every aspect of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Rizzuto.
Ken will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, dedication, and strength will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude any memorial contributions in Ken's honor be directed to the Texas A&M Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held on August 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, Texas. All who knew and loved Ken are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of a remarkable man whose life touched so many.
