Earl A. Moffitt
June 24, 1941 - November 4, 2023
Earl A. Moffitt, 82, of Golden, Colorado passed away November 4, 2023 at his home in Golden. Born June 24, 1941 in Seminole, Texas, he is the son of Lester Moffitt and Olga (Cypher) Moffitt. Earl married Maryann Weyer on May 14, 1971 and they shared 52 years of marriage. Earl is survived by his wife Maryann Moffitt and 100’s of close friends.
Earl is a graduate of Texas A&M University and worked in various animal health jobs. He founded Western International Taxidermy in 1983 and worked as a Taxidermist until his death. Earl’s Taxidermy art spans almost every animal on earth and he will be remembered for many many years through his work. As a taxidermist he re-created many fond memories for thousands of hunters.
Earl enjoyed hunting and fishing as much as any person could. Each year he hunted and fished many days. In 2023, Earl had many successful hunts and helped many others with their hunts.
Everyone that met Earl immediately knew exactly where he stood on issues of Government, Politics, and any other worldwide topic; he was a man that strongly supported anything he believed in. Earl had many friends, and he quickly became friends with almost everyone he met. His willingness to help people out with whatever they needed helped build these friendships. Earl was always there to help, no matter what time of day or night; if someone needed him to help them, he was available. Earl will be greatly missed on this earth.
No funeral services are planned as that was Earl’s wish.
