Jackson Edward Doorbar
May 8, 1992 - August 8, 2024
Jackson Doorbar left this earth on August 8, 2024. He was born in Hayward’s Heath, England in 1992 and spent most of his youth solely interested in math, science and sports.
He has a twin brother, who also shared his passion for engineering. He moved here in 2010 with his family with an aim to get into the Texas A&M Chemical Engineering program. He succeeded and graduated with a 3.86 in Chemical Engineering in 2016.
He started his career right after graduation at BR&E Engineering in Bryan, Texas. He then went to work in Victoria, Texas in 2018 to work for Invista where he had previously completed 2 summers of internships. He later transferred to Invista in Orange, Texas. He moved to BASF in Port Arthur in December 2023. He had already, at his young age, made a name for himself in the industry well documented in his resume. He was a kind, friendly person and had a great sense of humor and fun. He got along with everyone. He ate, drank, and slept chemical engineering. He loved Texas A&M and had a great life.
He is survived by his daughter, Madelyn Doorbar, his mother, Jackie Doorbar of Houston, his twin brother, Richard W. Doorbar '16, also a chemical engineer who works for Dow in Orange, Texas. He also has two sisters, Loren Doorbar and Jessica Chamberlain and her daughter, Lottie Chamberlain still residing in England.
He was also a brilliant piano player and was interested in basketball and physical fitness. He had played basketball for Park College in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
He will be sorely missed.
