Rodney W. Slota 

April 15, 1959 - August 16, 2024 

Rodney W. Slota, age 65, of Center Valley, PA passed away on August 16, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William and Mildred Pauline (Danenhower) Slota. He was the loving husband of Joan (Kester) Slota with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.

He graduated from William Allen High School in 1977. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Penn State University in 1981 and earned his Master's in Business from Texas A&M University in 1982. He was a member of Chestnut Hill Church UCC in Coopersburg and Boy Scouts of America where he earned his Eagle Scout Rank.

Rodney loved craft shows where he and his wife were vendors. He made pysanky eggs, picture frames and ornaments. He loved to travel and vacation in Disney World.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Joan Slota; daughters, Kimberly and Stephanie Slota; aunt, Mildred Wilburn; brother-in-law, George Kester and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing will be held prior from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery.
