Darren Glenn Lewis, known for his remarkable career as a football legend with the Dallas Carter Cowboys, Texas A&M University, and the Chicago Bears, passed away on June 21, 2024, after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 7, 1968.
Lewis, nicknamed Tank, lettered for the Aggies in 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990 and was inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998. Lewis was drafted in the sixth round of the 1991 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears and played three seasons with the Bears.
Throughout his life, Darren was not only an exceptional athlete but also a beloved jokester and the life of the party. His kind and giving nature touched the lives of many, and his unwavering love for God was evident
Darren's greatest treasures were his family. He cherished his Wife, Children, Grandchildren, Mother, Father, Sisters, and Brother deeply. His love extended beyond his immediate family to include a host of other relatives, teammates, and friends who meant the world to him.
