Ralph Edward Jackson 

April 2, 1932 - August 27, 2022 

Ralph Edward Jackson, age 90, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Ed was born on Saturday, April 2, 1932 to Roy and Mattie Jackson in Weatherford, Texas, where he grew up as a boy. He married Glenna Ferguson.

Ed graduated with a Degree in Business from North Texas in August of 1955, and a Degree in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University in 1962. He moved to Tyler in January of 1966 to pursue a business with laying hens and egg delivery. In later years, he also had a large cattle business operation.

Ed worked at Goodyear Tire for 43 years, primarily as a tire inspector. He was a very hard worker, provider, and was generous to those he knew and loved. His family was most important to him.

Ed is survived by his 2 daughters, Melody (Cliff) Raborn of Tyler, Texas, April Jackson and Jim Schulz of Tyler, Texas; granddaughters, Karen Raborn of Fort Worth, Texas and Laura (Dakota) Lynch of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Ruth (Lupe) Valtierra of Mineral Wells, Texas; brother, LeRoy (Carmen) Jackson of Baytown, Texas; sister in law, Nelda Jackson of Weatherford, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Jackson of Weatherford, Texas.

The family would like to thank Primrose Retirement Community and Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care these past few weeks. We thank our many caring friends who have prayed to our Heavenly Father for strength and comfort, and helped in various ways these last months.

Burial will take place at the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
