Roll Call Tribute

Amy Cailleteau '05 October 16, 2024 12:57 PM updated: October 16, 2024 1:05 PM

Amy Jinjin (Yang) Cailleteau

March 7, 1983 - October 8, 2024

Amy Jinjin Cailleteau, beloved wife of Leo Cailleteau III, adored mother of Marshall Nguyen, age 15, and Addyson Nguyen, age 14, and cherished stepmother to Leo Cailleteau IV, age 15, and Connor Cailleteau, age 12, passed away in Houston, Texas on October 8, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Amy was born in Chengdu, China in 1983 to proud parents, Jinping Yang and Li Li. After immigrating in 1993 with her parents to Galveston, TX, and later graduating from Galveston’s Ball High School in 2001, Amy went on to study at Texas A&M University where she earned both undergraduate and graduate accounting degrees in only 4 years. After graduating from Texas A&M University, Amy resided in the greater Houston area for nearly 20 years, most recently in Woodland Heights, and held various progressively responsible accounting roles, particularly enjoying her time with Hilcorp over the last 5 years.

To those who knew and loved Amy, her smile and laugh were infectious. She made friends everywhere she went and could always be trusted to be the life of the party. Amy loved to be on the go and was always impeccably dressed for the occasion.

With her family, Amy treasured family dinner each night and attending the school and athletic events of her children and stepchildren. For herself, Amy’s passions included the family’s F1b Goldendoodle, Barnaby, travel (Mexico, New Orleans, and Barcelona were among her favorites), and attending concerts (Taylor Swift and Eric Church in particular).

Along with Amy’s parents, husband, children, and stepchildren, Amy is survived by her sister Heather Yang of Seattle, WA, and Kevin Yang, of Colorado Springs, CO.

Amy, while our hearts and souls will forever feel like they’ve been split at the seams, we will see you in our dreams.
