Kenneth Donald Routh 

August 28, 1954 - October 6, 2024 

Kenneth Donald Routh, beloved husband, father, and grandfather peacefully departed this life on October 6th, 2024 at the age of 70 in Iola, Texas. He spent his life in devoted service to his family and faith.

Kenneth’s legacy lives on through his loving wife of 46 years, Tammy of Iola, Texas, son Robert Routh of Austin, Texas, and son and daughter-in-law Mark and Candace Routh of Mont Belvieu, Texas. He was Pop to his grandsons Drake, Hudson, and Bennett Routh of Mont Belvieu, Texas.

He is survived by his sisters Debbie (Mike) Priddy of Ballinger, Texas and Jan (Paul) Scott of Winters, Texas. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Dalpha Routh of Ballinger, Texas.

Kenneth was the valedictorian of his class at Ballinger High School, where he was also voted most likely to succeed. He graduated from Texas A&M University summa cum laude with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He worked at Exxon Mobil for 30 plus years as an Engineer.

Kenneth enjoyed woodworking, watching the Aggies, a Perry Mason or Gunsmoke marathon, and spending time with his family. He always enjoyed riding the tractor and shooting guns with his grandsons.

Kenneth was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a Deacon, Gideon, on the board of Elder Aide, helped with MNA Disaster Relief, Sheds of Hope, and a volunteer EMT.

Kenneth’s warmth and caring spirit and infectious laugh touched everyone he met and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
