Rachel Denise (Kostecka) Nobles 

August 10, 1983 - September 13, 2024 

Rachel Denise (Kostecka) Nobles, age 41, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of West, Texas, passed away Friday night, September 13, 2024 at Baylor Scott and White T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital in Dallas.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant, assisted by Deacon Robin Waters. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Rachel was born August 10, 1983 in Waco, the daughter of Michael and Barbara (Beseda) Kostecka. She attended St. Mary's School, West ISD, and was a 2001 graduate of West High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2005 and her Masters of Public Health in 2007 from Texas A&M University. Rachel was an active and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, SPJST Lodge 54 in West, and was a current member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller. In college she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega service organization and served on the Liberal Arts Student Council at Texas A&M. Rachel was a board member of Northwest ISD Education Foundation where she served as the advisory board chair. She was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce for Grapevine and multiple communities around the DFW area. In her younger years, you would see Rachel working at West Drug as a pharmacy tech. For the past 17 years, she worked for Baylor Scott and White Health in Grapevine, Irving, and at the corporate office in Dallas. Rachel was a loyal and dedicated Texas Aggie alumni and was an avid fan of John Mayer and loved attending concerts. She was known to be passionate about public health and politics. Rachel enjoyed traveling to Europe, especially the Czech Republic and the northeastern United States. She cherished time with her family and was immersed in all of Jakob and Adriana's activities. She loved celebrating, decorating, and dressing up in themed costumes at Halloween with her kids. Rachel had a loud and commanding voice and everyone knew when she entered the room.

Rachel is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert Kostecka Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Frances Beseda; a cousin, Kelly Macha; and an aunt, Rosa Kostecka.

Survivors include her beloved children, Jakob and Adriana Nobles; her parents, Michael and Barbara Kostecka; a sister, Shannon and Wesley Steck; her niece, Everly Steck; her paternal grandmother, Millie Kostecka; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Chad Blanchard, David Mallette, Katie Masterson, Alexandra Davies, and Jennifer Underhill for the compassionate and loving care shown to Rachel and our family.
