Beverly Jo Engel 

March 15, 1952 - September 13, 2024 

Beverly Jo Engel, 72 of Garland, Texas died Friday September 13, 2024 in a Frisco Nursing Center. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Phillips Cemetery in Travis.

Miss Engel was born March 15, 1952 in Rosebud to Johnnie and Violet Morris Engel. She graduated from Rosebud High School and was the valedictorian of the Class of 1970. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and earned a Masters Degree from Texas A&M University and the University of Dallas. She worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant in Dallas and as an accountant for UT Southwestern in Dallas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Bennett Engel and Darrell Engel.

She is survived by one brother, James Engel of Waxahachie, and two sisters in law, Annette Engel of Travis and Karen Engel of Coldspring.
