February 2, 1948 - October 1, 2024
Billy (Bill) Ed Thomas, age 76, entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Southlake, Texas.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kay Thomas, of Watauga Texas; and his sons, Paul Thomas and wife Venus, of Fort Worth TX, Brian Thomas and wife Stephanie, of North Richland Hill TX; his sister, Linda Weatherly and husband Vaughn, of Wichita Falls TX; his brother-in-law, Andrew Jones and wife Elizabeth, of Long Beach CA; his grandchildren, Elijah Thomas, Julietta Thomas, Preston Thomas, Emily Thomas, Fiona Thomas and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Lester Thomas, of Wichita Falls TX; his mother, Josephine Thomas, of Wichita Falls, TX.
Bill was born on February 2, 1948 in Vernon, TX, to parents Lester Edwin Thomas and Josephine Thomas. He graduated from Rider High School in 1966 and Texas A&M University in 1976 with a degree in Industrial Distribution. Bill served in the Navy on the USS Ozbourn during the Vietnam War. He was owner and operator of Harwell & Price Supply Company for many years. Before retirement he also worked at NorthWood Church in Keller TX.
He married Kay Jones on November 11, 1972 and they had two sons. Throughout his life he served in many capacities in the church. He was a deacon, taught children, youth and adults in Bible studies. He enjoyed researching family history, keeping in touch with old friends and Navy buddies and spending time with his family. He had a multitude of friends; he loved his Lord and Savior and spent his life sharing the Good News.
He was a loving and amazing husband, father, grandpa, uncle, and friend. It was a life well lived.
