Charles Waylon Murphy 

August 22, 1978 - October 16, 2023 

Charles Waylon Kincaid Murphy, 45 of Uvalde died Monday, October 16, 2023 at Angel Bright Hospice in Corpus Christi.

Graveside will be Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Vance Cemetery. Interment will follow at Vance Cemetery.

He was born on August 22, 1978 in Laredo to Sharon Hope Welch and Michael Kincaid Murphy.

Waylon graduated from Uvalde High School and then went on to pursue a Bachelors degree from Texas A&M in agriculture. He loved the outdoors and spent most of his time hunting and fishing in South Texas. His passion of the outdoors turned into a career, where he managed ranches in Kingsville, Pearsall and Barksdale. Waylon also loved animals and wild animals too so much he created a special bond with each and every animal on the property.

He is survived by his one son; Cash Murphy of New Berlin, two daughters; Belle Murphy, Gracey Murphy both of Gilmer, one sister; Zane Chesser and husband; Jason of Aransas Pass, father; Michael Kincaid Murphy, of La Grange, mother; Sharon Hope Welch Murphy of Aransas Pass, special friend; Elizabeth True Ricks of Rockport.

Services are under the direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
