Jacob Michael Miller, a beloved son, friend, and cherished member of the Katy, Texas community, has passed away at the age of 24. Born and raised in Houston, Jacob spent his entire life in Katy with the exception of his time at Texas A&M University. He graduated from Cinco Ranch High School in 2017, leaving a lasting impact on his friends, classmates and teachers.
Jacob's passion for learning and his extreme intelligence shone through during his time at Texas A&M University, where he earned his Bachelor of Administration in Finance degree in 2021 Cum Laude. He was a quick-witted and insightful young man, known for his charming personality and sweet nature and loved to use his words to convey his admiration and appreciation of others.
Jacob had a diverse range of hobbies and interests, including playing golf, engaging in chess matches, and cooking. As a book enthusiast, Jacob found joy in the magical world of Harry Potter. He was an active member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Katy chapter, where he raised a lamb during his high school years. Jacob's faith was an essential part of his life, and he found comfort and community at The Door Church, where he was baptized and actively involved in bringing others closer to their faith.
Throughout his life, Jacob displayed a deep sense of compassion and dedication to serving others. He volunteered his time to Carpool in College Station, Texas, driving patrons home to discourage drunk driving within the college community. He also served as a member of the Aggie Experience Council, providing campus tours to students and families. Jacob's love for animals led him to volunteer at Citizens for Animal Protection, where he cared for shelter animals, ensuring they had a quality experience during their stay.
Jacob will be forever remembered by his loving parents, Michael James Miller and Lauren Justine Miller, as well as his grandparents, Padrino Vincenzo Greco and Mimi Justine Greco. He is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles, Todd and Janice Miller, Billy and Karen Miller, Jen and Ralph Castaldo, Paula Overson, and Jeff Miller; and crew of loving cousins who adored him. Jacob's memory will be cherished by his lifelong friends, Sebastian Cifuentes, Ben Mathiasmeier, Austin Kalmus, Hunter Kalmus, Vaidesh Raman, Vignesh Raman, and James Klingler, who stood by him through thick and thin.
In Jacob's memory, let us celebrate his beautiful spirit, his unwavering love, and his profound impact on those around him.
The family will receive friend from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery in Richmond.
