William Richard "Bill" Easter 

September 19, 1938 - September 22, 2023 

William R. "Bill" Easter, Sr., 85, of Cherokee, AL passed away Friday, September 22, 2023. His visitation will be Monday, September 25th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, AL. His service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bill Easter, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.

He graduated from Texas A&M University with an Aeronautical Engineering Degree and held a Professional Engineers License. He also held a patent in the tank building profession (STEM) Scaffoldless Tank Erection Method. He retired as a tank building superintendent.

Mr. Easter was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Easter; parents, Mary Ellen and William E. Easter; and brother, Kenneth Easter.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Easter Jones (Barry); sons, Bill Easter, Jr. (Denise) and Bob Easter (Charlotte); brother, Paul L. Easter; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Doug Baker, Kyle Breckenridge, John Easter, Jake Easter, Josiah Landis, and David Hamilton.
