David Allen Terry
September 26, 1935 - September 24, 2024
David Allen Terry was born at home on September 26, 1935, in Canton, Texas to John and Flora Terry. Dave had two older siblings, a brother, John Thomas and a sister, Mary Louis. Two sons, David, and John Terry, two stepsons, Brad, and Craig Sullivan. Two granddaughters, Margaux and Alex Terry.
David was a proud 1957 graduate from the A & M College of Texas with a degree in Animal Husbandry. After his Military service as an officer in the US Army, he applied his degree working for Armor Foods and Conagra for 40 years.
David considered his time at A&M with his military training as a member of the Corps of Cadets some of the biggest events of his life. Being raised in a Christian home and learning the strict discipline and leadership training in the Corps molded Dave into the man of integrity he became.
Dave developed another life skill as a tender caregiver to his wife, Roibeth, who he married on September 1, 1982. He cared for her on hospice for 5 years and after her passing 11 years ago, he inherited the role as the patriarch caregiver of Spring Drive. Dave made it his mission to meet and keep up with all of the residents on this tiny street in Arlington, Texas, always willing to help out a neighbor any way he could.
David Allen Terry passed into the eternal arms of Jesus on September 24, 2024. His compassionate nature and joyful presence will be dearly missed.
Proverbs 10:7, “ The memory of the righteous is a blessing.””
