Keith Michael Hawkins 

August 11, 1949 - July 31, 2024 

Keith Hawkins age 74 of Coleman County, Texas passed to the arms of his Lord on July 31, 2024 at 3:03 pm at the Pecan Bayou Nursing Home in Brownwood, Texas,

He was the loving son of Vernon Esker and Dorothy Jean Smith Hawkins entering their world on August 11, 1949 in Houston, Texas and became the center of their world giving them much pride of all his accomplishments, Keith attended and graduated from Spring Branch High School, then continued his education at Texas A & M University graduating in 1972.

Keith Michael Hawkins followed his father into the love of educating our youth and taught Texas History at St Augustine High School for many years until his retirement, He enjoyed working and learning the art of hard work and discipline at their dairy farm, carrying those traits throughout his life plus having the privilege of sharing them with young minds. By faith he was a member of the Baptist Church. His true love was hunting and fishing and he taught young men gun rules and etiquette in these fields.

Survivors: Cousins Gale Hawkins of Arkansas; Roger Dale Smith of Pate, TX; Chad Smith of Pate, TX and special friends Brian Clay, Chad Boyett, Mike Bridges, Arthur Bush, Joe and Sharron Watson.

Visitation will be held Saturday August 3, 2024 from 10:00 am till 12 noon Services will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at Henderson Funeral Home in Coleman.
