William Edward "Bill" Loveless
February 21, 1950 - October 31, 2024
Bill was born in Bryan, Texas to Sidney Louis Loveless, Sr. and Janet Micks Loveless. He liked to say he grew up in “Mayberry” which describes College Station in the 1950s and 1960s.
Indoctrination began early with his enrollment in Wee Aggieland Kindergarten held in a private home in his neighborhood. It culminated in his graduation from Texas A&M University in 1972. He was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets.
He married in 1988 after several years of failing to realize Paige was the one. His family and many friends rejoiced over his finally stepping up to the alter.
One day in 1998 Bill heard someone say, “God never intended for you to live the life that only Christ can live in and through you.” After years of laborious attempts to live the Christian life, this was freedom! Life then became an adventure of living in reliance on the total sufficiency of Jesus Christ.
Soon after, Bill closed his business and set off on a life devoted to learning more about this life of, “it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” That transitioned into sharing it with others as he simply could not contain such good news.
A ministry was formed in 2003 followed by a move to San Antonio. Through the years there have been books written, classes taught and individuals encouraged and discipled. Bill’s greatest desire was to delight in the Lord, walk in his true identity in Christ, to enjoy being loved by God and to lead other Christ-followers to the same.
Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Paige. Also surviving are his beloved siblings: Joan Rogers, Sidney L. Loveless, Jr and Robert Loveless as well as a niece and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Boerne on November 9 at 1:30 with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
