Donna Jean Watson 

December 29, 1961 - July 23, 2023 

Donna was the loving daughter of the late Emmett Orlean and Ida Gene Watson. She was born in Palestine, Texas on December 29, 1961 and passed away in her home July 23, 2023 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her only brother, Lance Emmett Watson of Houston, Texas and niece, along with many loving cousins and precious friends.

She was a proud graduate of Palestine High School in 1980, Tyler Jr. College in 1982, and Texas A&M University in 1985 where she excelled in scholastics and sports. She was a member of the Women’s Runner Up National Champion Tennis Team in 1981 at Tyler Jr. College, and played and coached in Texas A&M’s tennis program and summer camps. She graduated with an education degree where she spent her lifetime before retirement teaching middle school math investing in the young minds and lives of now countless professionals across Texas and our country.

Donna was the ultimate professional in work, or as a friend, confidant, and health enthusiast. She has impacted and influenced all who knew her leaving an indelible impression of grace and love. She helped her mother enjoy at least twenty extra years if life, due to her assistance and served as her brother’s personal assistant these past three years. She has been there to help so many friends and family members throughout the years by giving back in sacrifice when most people would be too busy. She was loved by all and sacrificed all! Donna was the ultimate winner, fighter, competitor, companion, friend, family member, aunt, and sister!
