Aubrey Lee Burnham, 89, died September 23, 2024. He was born May 4, 1935 in Hamilton, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1957 with his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. In 1963 he joined the family dairy in Boynton Beach and then in 1965 the family moved the dairy to Okeechobee.
A resident of Okeechobee for 59 years, he was a member of the First Methodist Church of Okeechobee. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching Aggie football.
Mr. Burnham was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Aubrey Burnham; mother, Emma Lucille Burnham; and brother, Daniel Allen Burnham.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Wanda L. Burnham; sons, Randy Burnham (Ann) and Douglas Burnham (Denise), all of Okeechobee; grandchildren, Trey Marcum (Tiffany), of Okeechobee, Jamie Burnham, of Okeechobee, Joy Candler (Nathan), of Boynton Beach, and Kelsey Burnham Willington; great grandchildren, Makalyn Jones, of Orlando, Collin Jones, of Okeechobee, and Alyssa Marcum, of Okeechobee; and brother-in-law, Stanley Rucks (Dea), of Okeechobee.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at First Methodist Church of Okeechobee. Private interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
