April 22, 1947 - October 25, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marion Auddie Neisler, Jr., 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Auddie passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on April 22, 1947, in Paris, Texas, Auddie was the oldest child of Marion and Lucille (Boaz) Neisler. He grew up on a family farm in the Maxey Community, where he developed a lifelong passion from a variety of hobbies; tractor pulls, antique tractors and collecting coins.
Auddie attended Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. Along with farming, he later devoted himself to a 22-year career with Natural Resources Conservation Service. After retirement he focused his efforts to his passion as a coin dealer.
Auddie married Vicki Basinger, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years. Together, they raised two boys, Andy and Jesse, in a home filled with warmth and laughter. Auddie cherished spending time with his family and finding joy in the simple moments. Along with his family, Auddie was a long-time member at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. He was actively involved with the Red River Valley Antique Tractor Club and the North Star of Texas Coin Club.
Auddie’s memory lives on through his children, Andy and wife Molly (Lane) of Honey Grove, TX, and Jesse and wife Stephanie (Heller) of Wichita, KS.; his grandchildren, Shelby, Jonah, Kellen, Skye, and Case; his sister, Stella (Neisler) Nance; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Coralea & Donald Coonrod and David & Connie (Stidham) Basinger, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lucille (Boaz) Neisler, his father-in-law and mother-in-law TJ and Mary (Johnson) Basinger and brother-in-law John Nance.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ in Paris, Texas with Dr. John Cannon officiating. Bright-Holland Funeral Home will make burial in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ Latchkey Program or your favorite foundation.
Auddie’s kindness and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his inspiration will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Casket bearers will be: Matthew Basinger, Chris Basinger, Korey Perry, David Power, Cameron Gose, Geoffrey Nance, Jeremy Nance, and Mike Fry. Honorary bearers will be the Wednesday Night Men’s Class.
