January 4, 1936 - October 27, 2024
Alvin Deiss, Jr. '59 passed away on October 27, 2024. He was a former member of the Corps of Cadets in Squadron 19.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Jane E. Deiss, and is survived by Sons CW4 Bobby Deiss RET '80, David Deiss ’91, and Daughter Kendra Jo Deiss. Daughter in Law's Donna Deiss and Christi Deiss. Current Wife Bonnie M. Deiss, and 2 Stepdaughters. He had 3 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Retired Senior Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air National Guard, and had more than 35 years of service, including 2 overseas deployments. Also retired from Houston Lighting and Power Company, now Centerpoint. Very devoted husband to his family. Former member of Calvary Baptist Church Coldspring, TX, and devoted his life to the service of God and Country.
Other Former Student family members including his fish 'Ole Lady' Ronald Stallings '59, cousin, Kirt Stallings '90, cousin, Robert "Tommy" Deiss '71, and cousin David C. Deiss '80 (deceased).
Burial took place at Houston National Cemetery November 4, 2024 with full military honors provided by USAF color guard.
