Roger E. Sessions 

August 21, 1933 - August 5, 2006 

Memorial services for Roger E. Sessions, age 72, of Henderson, Texas, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006, at Wells First Baptist Church in Wells, Texas, with the Rev. Randy Sceroler officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home, Henderson. Mr. Sessions died August 5, 2006, in Henderson, Texas. Mr. Sessions was born August 21, 1933, in Houston, Texas. He was Southern Baptist.

A 1953 graduate of Texas A&M University, he earned a degree in petroleum engineering and worked for various oil companies for 20 years. He entered private businesses with his brothers, including sawmills, timber, cattle and land. He married Geneva E. Collin, August 27, 1955.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sessions and Opal Rogers Sessions; and step-father, Peyton L. Sullivan. Survivors include his wife, Geneva E. Sessions of Henderson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Carl and Renee Sessions and Craig and Loretta Sessions, all of Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and John Kaspar of Dallas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Joyce Sessions of Lufkin, Bobby Sessions of Wells, Joel and Sue Sessions of Wells and Pete and LaDonna Sullivan of Lufkin; six granddaughters; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Memorial donations may be made to the Rube Sessions Library in Wells, Texas.
