John Edward Whitman 

May 3, 1930 - March 15, 2020 

John Edward Whitman passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was born in Langtry, Texas on May 3, 1930 to George and Bessie Whitman. He grew up in Marble Falls, Texas.

John graduated from Texas A&M University, served in the U.S. Air Force, and worked for Conoco until retiring in 1989 after 35 years of service. Conoco transferred John and his family to several states, Norway and Egypt. After retiring, John and Maxine moved to Burnet, Texas.

John is survived by his wife Maxine, daughters Karla O'Neal (Terry), Kelly Whitman (Phil), granddaughters Kelli Jenkins (Cory), and Kerri O'Neal, two great-grandchildren, Whitman Jenkins and Emerson Cynthia Jenkins.

No service has been planned. Care has been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
