Ronald Jerry "Ron" Kent 

May 19, 1943 - September 27, 2024 

Ronald "Ron" Jerry Kent, 81, of Bedias, Texas passed away on September 27, 2024. He was born on May 19, 1943, to Dale James Kent and Alleen Cornelia (Kessler) Kent in Hyannis, Massachusetts.

He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1965, with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering. Whoop!

Ron was a very caring and loving person, and he was a jokester with a dry sense of humor, but would still help anybody. Ron was a member of the Bedias Volunteer Fire Department, and later in life became a rancher in Bedias, Texas.

Ron was preceded in death by both of his parents and special aunt, Martha "MAK" Sparks. He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Kent of Bedias, Texas; sons, Russell Kent (Gretchen) of Pasadena, Texas, and Richard Kent of Deer Park, Texas; brother, Van Kent (Carolyn) of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, Jordan Winkler (Josh) of Houston, Texas, Tyler Kent of Kemah, Texas, and Austin Kent of Pasadena, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Winkler of Houston, Texas; and two nephews, Michael Kent and David Kent.

A visitation will be held from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M., Friday, October 11, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 2 P.M. at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the Kent family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
